Baby Peter is walking!
It takes him a while to get his footing,
he finally manages,
but then, there's no stopping him
He's so pleased with himself
"Watch me, Mommy!"
I have no idea what is up with his tongue.
I guess he has to concentrate.
He made it across the yard!
He has made it even farther than that!
Look at this picture and then look at the one above it.
Can you believe it's the same baby?
P.S I know I said I'd write more about what I'm teaching on feelings, but it's Friday. I thought today needed something a bit lighter and celebratory.

ReplyDeleteWow! No, that absolutely does not look like the same baby. How exciting that Peter has made such amazing progress!! It's a real testament to your work there, that you have fed and loved him back from the brink of death. I know there is an overwhelming amount of heartbreak in your work- it's just part of the nature of life in Africa- but, the successes are so huge as well. Thank you for shouldering all that responsibility- and for sharing the success photos with us!
